Kent, Washington - Mrs. Shirley Ann Stewart, wife of William Alan Stewart, daughter of the late Ralph Charles Shivers and Genevieve Eva Fitzpatrick Shivers passed away peacefully surrounded by the abundant love of her family at home Sunday July 11th 2021. As a graduate of Seattle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education Shirley worked as a home economics teacher in the Federal Way School district.
William Alan Stewart and Shirley married on July 27th 1957 in Seattle, WA. and and were blessed with 5 daughters making Kent, Washington home for 63 years.
Shirley woke up every morning choosing to be happy; she was energetic, generous, artistic, spiritual, faithful and gracious. Loved by all and adored by her husband, daughters, son's in law and grandchildren. She modeled a life well lived and will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Shirley is survived by husband William Alan Stewart, daughters Laurie Stewart Williams/George Williams, Sherry Stewart/Mike Brown, Gail Stewart Bowser/Doug Bowser, Karen Stewart/Rick Snodgrass, Tricia Stewart/David Black, 12 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sister's in law, preceded in death by brother Kenneth E. Shivers
Memorial service Wednesday July 21st 11:00am mass, reception to follow. St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 25810 156th Ave SE Covington, WA 98042
