Washington - Steve Vaughan, was born in Seattle on October 9, 1946. He was the third of seven children and spent his youth playing sports in his neighborhood and at school. Steve graduated from Bellevue High School in 1964, then attended Yakima Valley Community College which he always called "The Harvard of the West"! He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served with distinction in Vietnam, demonstrating unwavering courage and commitment.
Returning to Seattle, Steve joined his father's office supply business where he thrived as a successful entrepreneur. He was a lifelong golfer, a lifelong Catholic, and was active in the local veteran community.
Steve was known for his quick wit and gift for storytelling which earned him many lasting friendships. His presence lit up every room with smiles and laughter wherever he went.
He was a beloved father to Michael and Caroline and a proud grandfather to Ryan, Jake, Portia, Juliet, and Caroline. His greatest joy in life was watching his grandchildren grow. He never missed a sporting event, recital, or opportunity to spend time with them. He also leaves siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews to whom he was very dear.
Steve is deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all . Semper Fidelis
