Von "Dallas" Gigrich ("Dallas") Obituary

WA - Von "Dallas" Gigrich went home to be with his Lord and loved ones on October 13, 2025. He was born on September 21, 1955, to George and Elisa Gigrich at the U.S. Airforce Base in Tripoli, Libya.

Dallas lived a vibrant, full and exciting life; one marked by family, friends, hard work, and adventures. A proud business owner in the Seattle area for over 30 years, he built a reputation for generosity and service. His company not only supported loyal customers, but also gave back to the community he cared so deeply about.

Dallas grew up in Oregon, where he made many friends, played rugby, and graduated from the University of Oregon before moving to Washington. He met his loving wife, Randi while working on her father's fishing boat in Alaska the summer following his first year of college. Dallas and Randi raised 3 children: Daughter, Ranee' (grandchildren Rochelle, Jessie, and Brett); Daughter Jessica; and Son Brelan.

Dallas had the privilege of proudly serving in law enforcement and formed bonds that lasted a lifetime. Eventually, he found his calling as a small business owner, running a successful oil tank decommissioning company. Known as a dedicated and compassionate leader, Dallas cared deeply for his employees and the community. Following the heartbreaking loss of their daughter Jessica in 2001, Dallas founded the nonprofit HEAT (Home Energy Assistance Team) in her memory. Through the HEAT program, he provided heating oil to families in need - a legacy of kindness that continues to warm homes and hearts today.

Dallas was preceded in death by his wife of 40+ years, Randi; and their two daughters, Ranee' and Jessica. Despite enduring such profound losses, his resilient spirit led him to find love again later in life with Molly. Together, they welcomed their son, Jurni - a joyful surprise and source of immense comfort and pride for Dallas. He is survived by his brother, David; his son, Brelan; his grandchildren, Rochelle, Jesse, and Brett; his partner Molly; and their young son, Jurni. His legacy continues to live on in the many lives he touched.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Prince of Peace Church in Shoreline, WA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Dallas's non-profit HEAT program via "Tanks by Dallas" (www.tanksbydallas.net).
